A Heartfelt Download from Rachel
Over the past year, my 13-year-old daughter has faced some tough medical issues. During one particular hospital visit, we ended up in the wrong building. The kind receptionist directed us back to the parking garage and said, “Follow the paw prints. They will take you where you need to go.”
Much to our surprise, she was right. There, on the ground, were hundreds of prints, leading us through the dark garage, out a secret back door, and right to the correct building.
At one point along the path, I stopped my daughter. I pointed out that these prints are proof that we don’t walk alone, even when the path seems unclear. From then on, my daughter and I try to see signs in nature and people that offer divine proof that we are not alone. From this experience, I wrote The Companion’s Prayer. May it bring you comfort today.
